2023 Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting notes
Vibrant and fresh wine with notes of grapefruit, melon and peach fill your glass. On the palate, the fruit is present, well-balanced with a mineral finish and lees-driven finish. The partial ML and extensive lees work was effective on rounding the palate up which gives the wine a layered and rich structure. This is a wine to drink now, but it can certainly age for a while. Certainly a delicious Washingtonian expression of a "Pouilly-Fumé" Loire style Sauvignon Blanc.
Production notes
Stainless steel tank primary fermentation at 55 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the whole curve. Partial ML (30%), sur-lie aged in tank for 10 months. Cold and heat stabilized, filtered and bottled.
