2023 Evidently Rosé
Tasting notes
A delightful, fragrant, and fruit-forward wine, exhibiting a rounded character derived from its lees contact. Distinctive aromas of strawberry, blood orange, watermelon candy, and rose are evident. On the palate, the wine presents as dry, with prominent fruit, confectionary, and floral notes. A refreshing acidity is complemented by a flinty finish. This wine represents a fine Washingtonian interpretation of a classic Côtes de Provence Rosé.
Production notes
The two varietals underwent whole-cluster pressing without cold maceration. Primary co-fermentation was conducted in stainless steel tanks at a constant temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The wine was aged sur-lie in tanks for eleven months. Subsequent treatments included cold and heat stabilization, filtration, and bottling.
