2023 Guadalupe - Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting notes
The wine exhibits aromas of honeysuckle and orange zest, with subtle oak accents that complement the primary bouquet. Partial malolactic fermentation contributes to a well-balanced acidity. The palate reveals a robust mid-palate weight while maintaining sufficient acidity for equilibrium. A notable mineral character and protracted finish are evident.
Production notes
Stainless steel fermentation was conducted at a constant 55 degrees Fahrenheit. The fermentation process lasted 28 days, concluding upon reaching dryness. Maturation occurred sur-lie for 13 months, utilizing 70% new French oak puncheons and 30% new acacia barriques.
